Registered Nurse Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1720
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center
• Unit: 2 South Medical/Telemetry (37 beds, daily census ~36)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Colors: Royal blue and white

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse, community hospital, or LTAC experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles of facility
• Must pass advanced EKG exam as part of compliance

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Manage a patient load of 1:5-6, ensuring patient safety and effective clinical support
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage central lines, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Accurately document care and patient progress using Epic
• Float to similar nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
