• On-Call: Cardiac call required (minimum 6 per month)

CVOR RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct CVOR nursing experience, including scrub experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact state licenses accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Two professional references from CVOR managers, ANMs, supervisors, or directors (within past 12 months)
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Comfortable participating in training and teaching students and new staff
• All requested time off must be included at submission

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating nurse duties in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Respond to cardiac call and provide expert care for cardiac surgical cases
• Assist with procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, TEVAR, and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital setting
• Float to other operating room cases as needed
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety
• Utilize EPIC for clinical charting and documentation
• Support onboarding and training of students and new staff members
