Illinois Nursing Job Details

• Location: Urbana, IL 61801 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Emergency Department (ER nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/14/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2070 - $2120
• Call: 2 call shifts per 6-week period (13-hour call shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour)
• Employment Type: Travel nurse assignment
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient status
• Ensure patient and staff safety by following hospital safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families
• Provide feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development
• Fulfill departmental competencies and proactively address learning needs
