RN Qualifications – Pediatric ER Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (Pediatric ER or Emergency Room nursing preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and monitor pediatric patients, responding rapidly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and pediatric health management
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and clinical standards
