Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Pratt, KS 67124 (Kansas nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Community Hospital – Medical-Surgical Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays and some weekends
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Floating: May float to ER, ICU, and LDRP units
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred)
• BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with TRUBRIDGE (CPSI) EMR strongly preferred
• IV start, telemetry, and charge nurse experience preferred
• Ortho (total hips and knees) and rural health experience a plus
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First-time travel nurses and local candidates welcome

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including post-op joint and general surgery cases
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and manage surgical drains
• Administer medications and blood products; manage central and peripheral lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.)
• Float to ER, ICU, and LDRP units as needed to support patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using TRUBRIDGE EMR
• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients of all ages: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
