Radiology Technologist Job Details

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting required
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible (must obtain within 90 days of hire; registration required within one year of hire)
• New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License (must obtain within one year of graduation if a new graduate)
• CPR certification (must be acquired and maintained within three months of hire and renewed bi-annually)
• Competency in at least two specialty areas: Diagnostic Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry, or Interventional Radiology

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Deliver radiologic care to patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders
• Perform imaging procedures in at least two modalities: Diagnostic Radiology, CT, Bone Densitometry, or Interventional Radiology
• Maintain competency and adhere to safety protocols in all assigned imaging modalities
• Work under the direction of the Associate Director of Radiology and clinical guidance of Radiologists or Interpreting Providers
• Ensure accurate documentation and uphold patient care standards in a clinical support environment
