Job Details – Albuquerque Nursing Jobs
- Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 – Experience New Mexico healthcare in a city known for its high desert beauty and thriving arts scene.
- Healthcare Setting: Neuro ICU (Unit 12110 - CCT 5 East)
- Contract Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours/week)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1750-$1800
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off up to 3 times during the contract
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU RN experience (Neuro ICU experience required)
- Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or compact state; pending license accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with trauma level II required; trauma level I preferred
- Skills in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, central line care, neuro post-op care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Must live at least 75 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Personal transportation required
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality neurocritical care to patients with complex neurologic conditions (TBI, SAH, SDH, tumor resections, status epilepticus)
- Perform and manage EVD insertions, A-line insertions, intubations, central line insertions, CRRT, post-TPA and post-thrombectomy care
- Monitor and interpret ICP, ABGs, and dysrhythmias
- Float as needed to other ICUs, PCU, ED, and PACU within nursing scope
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Document patient care using Cerner electronic charting system
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in orientation and annual training modules
