ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Fishers, Indiana (46037) – Indianapolis metro area
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1770 - $1820 per week
• Healthcare Setting: ICU with required floating to PCU
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Unit Size: 12 beds, average daily census of 7
• Charting System: Cerner
• Parking: Free onsite parking

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience (strong PCU RNs considered)
• Active RN license (Indiana or compact state; pending license accepted if willing to obtain before start)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float to PCU and other hospital units as needed
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two supervisor references required
• Indiana residents not eligible for this travel nurse position

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Care for ventilated patients, including ventilator management, suctioning, and high-flow oxygen therapies
• Assist with post-cardiac surgery care, cardiac catheterization/interventions, and sheath removal
• Implement hypothermia protocols; manage acute and chronic renal failure; follow IV insulin protocols
• Perform phlebotomy, wound care (including wound vacs), and infection prevention procedures
• Float to PCU and other units as required, adapting to varying patient ratios and acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and support staff
