Key Job Details – OR RN Travel Contract

• Location: Weston, West Virginia 26452
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory and General Operating Room
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• Nursing Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm)
• On-Call: Every 4th weekday and every 4th weekend (must be within 30 minutes of facility while on call; some holidays required)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,750 - $1,790
• Work Areas: Surgical, PACU, Endoscopy
• EMR System: Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia or Compact State (pending license acceptable)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification preferred (AHA)
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred (AHA)
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• At least 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse in the Operating Room, providing safe and effective patient care for a range of surgical specialties
• Assist with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, and PEG tube placement/exchange
• Support general surgery cases: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, and more
• Participate in gynecological, orthopedic, ophthalmology, and pediatric general surgery cases
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling
• Operate and maintain specialized OR equipment (electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana Table, Steris, etc.)
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes when on call
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Radiology
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
