PCU RN Job Details

• Location: Olathe, Kansas 66061 (Kansas nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: 300-bed acute care hospital
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025, End: 3/15/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1850 - $1990
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work either Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day
• Orientation: Comprehensive orientation for travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active KS RN License or Compact RN License (Registered Nurse jobs in Kansas)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit, or Progressive Care Unit
• Proficient in CRRT, Bipaps, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs
• Experience managing consults and codes independently
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Ability to float to ICU, Med/Surg, Telemetry, Acute/Tele, and Emergency Department
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• No new graduate applicants

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to PCU patients requiring specialized monitoring and interventions
• Independently manage CRRT, Bipaps, chest tubes, PICC lines, and lab draws
• Respond to codes and consults autonomously
• Float to ICU, Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED as needed
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
