Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Waterloo, Iowa (50703) – Iowa nursing jobs
Facility: 130-bed hospital, Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (Nursing Float-Resource)
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Start Date: January 7, 2026
End Date: April 8, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
EMR System: EPIC
Floating: May float to Behavioral Health, Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and post-procedural areas

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Iowa RN license – Iowa healthcare jobs
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele
First-time travel nurses accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, NIHSS, MOAB
Proficiency in EKG/ECG, rhythm strips, and dysrhythmia interpretation
Experience with EPIC EMR
Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80%
Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, and references

RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Monitor and manage patients on drips including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin
Perform all telemetry-related duties, including rhythm strip and dysrhythmia reads
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
Float to Behavioral Health, ED, ICU, and post-procedural units as needed
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
