Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Telemetry Unit (20-bed, all private rooms)
• Contract Length: 13-week contract
• Start Date: November 26, 2025
• End Date: February 25, 2026
• Shift: Night shift – 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (full-time nursing job)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (WV or compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care or telemetry nursing experience
• Proficient in cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Professional appearance (navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, tattoos covered)

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and medication administration
• Monitor and document cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours, and ensure accurate charting in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Manage common cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, post-cardiac intervention, NSTEMI, and post-surgical patients
• Float to overflow telemetry or Ortho/MedSurg units as needed
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing nursing education
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and the healthcare team
