Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Central Illinois nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Surgical Acute, Medical/Surgical Unit
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990-$2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application in progress
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Strong post-operative care and clinical critical thinking skills
• Excellent bedside manner and collaborative teamwork abilities

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients
• Perform dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, and manage drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, patient care techs, and respiratory therapists
• Float to similar medical/surgical units as needed based on experience
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC
• Participate in a comprehensive orientation program, including two shifts with a preceptor and one shift for EPIC and professional orientation
