Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Zip: 38119)
Healthcare Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Unit
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
Start Date: December 15, 2025
End Date: March 17, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10-hour day shifts (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810 - $1940
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: One night per week (9 PM – 7 AM) and one weekend per month
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
Unit Size: 14 beds
Charting System: Cerner
Scrub Color: Ceil Blue or White

PACU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or surgical recovery nursing experience
Travel nurse experience preferred
Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
Ability to float to other units within nursing skillset

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in the PACU
Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and pain management
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for optimal patient outcomes
Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed
Accurately document patient care using Cerner
Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage
Float to other nursing units as required
