ER RN Travel Job Details
- Location: Augusta, GA (30901) – Georgia nursing jobs
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (Non-Trauma)
- Contract Duration: 7 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)
- Shift: Mid Shift, 3x12-Hour (13:00 - 01:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570–$1610
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Unit Size: 59-bed ER, averaging 165-175 patients daily
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Floating: Rare
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (all required)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to provide clinical support for adolescent to geriatric patient populations
- Preferred: Charge nurse, community hospital, and trauma level I/II experience
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting
- Manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a high-acuity environment
- Document patient care using Epic and manage medications with Pyxis
- Respond to stroke and STEMI cases as part of a certified facility
- Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, central line care, chest tube management, and procedural sedation
- Administer emergency medications and blood products
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Maintain compliance with all facility and travel nursing requirements
- Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays as per contract policy
