Travel RN Job Details – Telemetry/Cardiac Nursing
- Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048 (Michigan nursing jobs)
- Unit: 3N Cardiovascular Unit – 54-bed main Cardiac Telemetry unit
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
- Start Date: December 8, 2025
- End Date: March 9, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift: 3x12 hour days (07:00 - 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Charting System: Cerner Powerchart
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770-$1820
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year recent Telemetry or Cardiovascular RN experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted if obtained before start)
- Experience with Cerner charting required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates for this travel RN job)
- Ability to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults and geriatrics on a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
- Care for patients with heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, strokes, arrhythmias, chest pain, and overflow medical patients
- Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner Powerchart
- Uphold professional conduct standards and hospital policies
- Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
