Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Unit: Rehab Brain Surgery
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Shift: Evening, 8-hour shifts (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after facility call-off policy is met
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 (days/nights), 8:1 (weekends)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,870 - $1,920 per week

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Registered Nurse experience (acute inpatient rehab preferred)
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Travel nurses must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Must provide interview availability upon submission

Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from brain surgery and other acute conditions
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Implement fall risk and infection prevention protocols
• Manage central lines, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and other specialized medical equipment
• Float between similar units as needed to support hospital operations
