Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Facility Type: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
- Unit: Rehab Brain Surgery
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
- Shift: Evening, 8-hour shifts (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after facility call-off policy is met
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Patient Ratios: 6:1 (days/nights), 8:1 (weekends)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,870 - $1,920 per week
Med/Surg RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Registered Nurse experience (acute inpatient rehab preferred)
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (North Carolina nursing jobs)
- BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Travel nurses must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Must provide interview availability upon submission
Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from brain surgery and other acute conditions
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
- Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Implement fall risk and infection prevention protocols
- Manage central lines, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and other specialized medical equipment
- Float between similar units as needed to support hospital operations
