• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department – 44 beds, 27 rooms, daily census ~130 patients
• Contract Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:45 - 07:15)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 - $1,750
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Weekend Coverage: Required

ER RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license or multistate compact license (Registered Nurse jobs in Tennessee)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/MAB, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
• Experience with EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Ability to float to qualified units as needed

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage, patient assessment, and rapid response to critical emergencies
• Administer emergency medications and manage acute medical conditions (trauma, CVA, STEMI, respiratory distress, drug overdose)
• Initiate and manage IVs, arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Deliver compassionate care for patients experiencing mental health crises, abuse, or behavioral emergencies
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start
