Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Colebrook, New Hampshire (Zip: 03576) – North Country region
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Medical/Surgical Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/20/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (may vary as needed)
• Orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred
• Strong IV skills preferred
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Flexibility to float within the healthcare facility as needed
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis, and post-surgical needs
• Titrate drips (heparin, nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin) in a low-level ICU environment
• Administer respiratory treatments (BIPAP, etc.) and mix medications as required
• Monitor patients using central monitors and telemetry packs
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Float to other nursing units within the facility as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using the CPSI EMR system
• Rotate holidays and weekends with permanent nursing staff
• Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in a supportive, team-oriented healthcare environment
