- Facility: Main Operating Room – Pediatric Specialty, Level I Trauma Center
- Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse (13-week contract)
- Start Date: December 28, 2025
- End Date: March 29, 2026
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:45 - 17:00), 40 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2560 - $2750 per week
- Openings: 8 pediatric OR RN positions available
- Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
- Charting System: Cerner EMR
- Parking: Discounted off-site day passes with shuttle; free night shift parking
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active, permanent Registered Nurse license (RN) – Massachusetts or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (pediatric OR experience strongly preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required
- Experience in Level I Trauma setting required
- Proficiency in pediatric operating room procedures (e.g., cleft lip/palate repair, tonsillectomy/adenoids, general pediatric surgeries)
- Ability to provide two professional references from different healthcare facilities (from the last three places of employment)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Key Responsibilities for Pediatric OR RN
- Deliver high-acuity, compassionate care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Participate in short call coverage (up to 3 times every six weeks) and up to 4 off shifts every six weeks
- Provide weekend and holiday shift/call coverage as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner charting system
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure quality patient care
