Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)
- Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital
- Assignment Duration: 13-week travel RN contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-Call: No call required
- Holiday Coverage: Possible holiday coverage
- Charting System: EPIC EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active South Carolina or multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (OR nurse jobs)
- Experience scrubbing and circulating all surgical cases, including cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and general surgery
- Highly preferred: Scrub experience with vascular and general cases
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Radiation badge (provided by agency)
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Community hospital experience required; Level I/II Trauma nursing experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work with adult patient populations
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate a wide range of OR cases: plastics, colorectal, urology, robotic surgery, surgical oncology
- Administer blood and blood products safely
- Monitor cardiac status and provide conscious sedation
- Respond to codes and surgical emergencies as needed
- Maintain strict infection control and fire safety protocols
- Start peripheral IVs and adhere to universal protocol (time out procedure)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adult surgical patients
