Key Job Details – Charleston Nursing Assignment
- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Ambulatory Operating Room (Rutledge Tower – 9 ORs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Shifts: Day shift options: 4x10-hour shifts (6:30am–5:00pm) or 3x12-hour shifts (6:30am–7:00pm), Monday–Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1820–$1870
- Schedule: No weekends, no major holidays, no call required
- Floating: Possible within perioperative facility
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or proof of application/walk-through eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NBSTSA certification required
- Epic charting experience
- Radiation badge (provided by employer)
- Preferred experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
OR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to adult patients in a clinical support role
- Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: joint replacements, arthroscopies, plastics, surgical oncology, ENT, OMFS, ophthalmology, GU, GYN, and more
- Operate and maintain specialized operating room equipment (lasers, mini C-arm, video towers, suction/smoke evacuation systems, beach chair bed attachments, Allen stirrups)
- Precept and mentor care team members in the OR as needed
- Float within perioperative services as required
- Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
- Comply with infection control, fire safety, and radiation safety protocols
- Complete required orientation and training modules prior to assignment start
