Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Adult Cardiac Operating Room (OR)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Duration: 17 weeks (approx. 4 months)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 4, 2026
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm), 3 shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250 - $2,310 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State
• Minimum 2 years of operating room (OR) nursing experience; Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Proficient in both scrubbing and circulating roles in the OR
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to cardiac surgery patients in the operating room
• Assist with advanced cardiac procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, and heart transplants
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform scrub and circulate duties during surgical procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
