PICU RN Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of application)

- Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric critical care and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
PICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and progress
- Administer medications, treatments, and life-saving interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during critical care situations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in compliance with hospital policies
