Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Akron, Ohio 44307 – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Medical Surgical Telemetry)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/19/2025, End: 3/20/2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license (required for travel nursing jobs in Ohio)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Telemetry
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to patient condition changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures as ordered
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
