Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Maryville, IL (Zip: 62062) – near St. Louis, MO
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (6:00pm – 6:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
• Scrubs: Provided
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adults
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2010 - $2160

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois or compact state license required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience with Meditech electronic charting system preferred
• Proficient in starting and maintaining peripheral IVs, administering blood products, and performing sterile vaginal exams
• At least one supervisor reference required at submission
• Availability to start in December 2025

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a clinical setting
• Perform and interpret NSTs, OCTs, and fetal monitoring (external and internal)
• Triage obstetrical patients and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist with C-sections (circulate and recover patients)
• Place and calibrate IUPC, spiral electrodes, and assist with epidural anesthesia administration
• Draw venous blood, manage infusion pumps and IV drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system
