Job Overview

Seeking a competent and professional Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide direct patient care in a travel nursing capacity. The role involves comprehensive assessment, clinical skills, patient education, and collaboration within the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care specific to Labor & Delivery patients.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Demonstrate professional practice, adhering to policies, procedures, and promoting clinical growth.
• Foster a patient- and family-centered environment, ensuring confidentiality and respectful communication.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including proper patient identification and safe transfer techniques.
• Understand and manage conditions, procedures, and equipment related to surgical and perioperative care.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Current RN License (New Jersey)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Physical Requirements

• Must meet Occupational Safety/OMS physical requirements
