PCU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Rochester, Michigan 48307 (Metro Detroit area)
- Healthcare Setting: Medical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Float (may float to Emergency Department holds)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 11, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13-week travel RN contract
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1790 - $1840
- Time Off: Up to 1 week accepted
PCU RN Qualifications
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Telemetry nursing experience
- At least 1 year of Cerner EMR experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical skills and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a progressive care unit setting
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Delegate, supervise, and document nursing care and patient education
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Participate in problem-solving and implement solutions for patient care variances
- Float between Medical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and Emergency Department hold units as needed
