Travel Nursing Job Details

- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or compact state (Kansas City healthcare jobs)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience as a Med/Surg RN
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients
- Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
- Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures
- Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team and seek consultation as needed
- Participate in team building and contribute to a positive healthcare work environment
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
