Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Saint Johnsbury, Vermont 05819 (Northeast Kingdom)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Unit: Med-Surg Ortho, Med-Surg Adult, Med-Surg Pediatrics
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00pm – 7:00am
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 4 shifts (48 hours/week), including every other weekend
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/2/2025 – End: 3/3/2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week (36 hours during orientation week)
• Open Positions: 3 Med/Surg RN jobs available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 – $1,980
• Assignment Start Day: Wednesdays

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience in a Med/Surg or hospital setting
• Active Vermont RN license or multi-state compact nursing license (required for Vermont nursing jobs)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exceptions)
• All nursing credentials must be uploaded five business days before start date
• Ability to provide care for adult and occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric-only unit)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit
• Provide holistic, patient-centered care addressing age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
• Utilize the Nursing Process for critical decision-making and clinical support
• Report to the Unit Director and work closely with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor
• Participate in onboarding and maintain compliance with all credentialing requirements
