• Location: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (Upstate New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 16–32 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: June 8, 2026
• Shift: Mid Shift, 3x12-Hour (15:00 – 03:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,260 – $2,320
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or proof of application (NY nursing jobs; allow 6–8 weeks for processing)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (ER nurse jobs)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required for healthcare jobs)
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be active or proof of class prior to start; NIHSS required before starting)
• COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible; all-season or snow tires recommended November–April)

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical interventions
• Work every other weekend and adjust schedule as needed to support unit and patient care
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Day/Eve)
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
• Ensure all work history and employment gaps over 90 days are explained and documented
