- Job Title: PICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse
- Location: Springfield, Illinois 62769
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Start Dates: January 2026 starts available (must end by March 14, 2026)
- Contract Duration: 10 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend, no on-call
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,410 - $2,580
PICU RN Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license required (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PICU nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Ability to provide requested time off (RTO) at time of submission
PICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate and support patients' families during critical care situations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
