Job Title: PICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse
Location: Springfield, Illinois 62769
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Start Dates: January 2026 starts available (must end by March 14, 2026)
Contract Duration: 10 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend, no on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,410 - $2,580

PICU RN Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license required (must be in hand at time of application)
Minimum 1 year of recent PICU nursing experience
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Ability to provide requested time off (RTO) at time of submission

PICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver specialized, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate and support patients' families during critical care situations
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
