Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Wilmington, Delaware (19801) – Delaware nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Unit: Med/Surg
• Shift: Day shifts, 12 hours each
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 22, 2025

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1700 - $1820

RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware or compact state
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med/Surg patients
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees on the Med/Surg unit
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in team building and contribute positively to the Med/Surg nursing environment
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
