Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)
• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 29, 2026
• Setting: On-site, hospital-based radiology department
• Shift: 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 – $2,310

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, Rad Tech, or Radiation Therapist
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or Radiation Therapy Technology program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• New York State Radiation Therapist license (can be obtained during onboarding)
• Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to patient safety and professional conduct

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist
• Operate advanced radiology equipment (Varian Truebeam, Varian 21ix) safely and efficiently
• Accurately document and maintain patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records
• Interpret computerized treatment plans and follow established clinical protocols
• Monitor patients daily for reactions and promptly report adverse effects
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to radiologic equipment
• Maintain compliance with NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety standards
• Prioritize patient care and uphold professional standards at all times
