Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Huntington, WV 25701 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Major Teaching Hospital, Level II Trauma Center
• Unit: Medical Surgical Float Pool
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,800
• Parking: Free parking available in lot and garage
• Scrub Color: Black scrubs or facility T-shirt; surgery scrubs provided as needed
• Charting System: Cerner EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state (WV RN license)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience (Med/Surg RN experience)
• Ability to float to various Med/Surg units as needed
• Must complete facility modules and required lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
• Travel nurses only (local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible)
• Experience in a teaching hospital or trauma center preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical Surgical float pool environment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Document all care accurately using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
• Adapt to various Med/Surg units and diverse patient populations as assigned
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and foster a positive healthcare team environment
