- End Date: March 31, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
- Floating: Mandatory float within 50 miles as needed
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue (not provided)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in an Emergency Department
- Active Illinois RN license (required for Chicago healthcare jobs)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious flu vaccine exemptions allowed)
- Ability to float to other units/facilities within 50 miles
- Must be responsive and meet compliance deadlines
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for acute and critical conditions
- Manage arterial lines, central lines, ventilated patients, and IV vasopressors
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
- Implement isolation precautions and manage multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units or facilities as required to meet patient care needs
