Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Contract Duration: 17 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Night shift, 11:00pm – 7:30am, rotating every other weekend
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2120 - $2180

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) in a hospital or clinical setting
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
• Ability to rotate through all radiology departments
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude
• Commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and customer service excellence in healthcare
• Must maintain required hours of continuing medical education (CME)

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures and general diagnostic radiology exams
• Explain imaging procedures and prepare patients for CT scans
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed
• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain adequate stock of medical supplies
• Set up and operate CT equipment, ensuring optimal diagnostic imaging results
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists in complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Demonstrate principles of radiation protection and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) techniques
• Ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS and complete study indexing in RIS
• Document all procedures and patient interactions in medical and radiology information systems
• Consistently demonstrate healthcare team standards of excellence, including open communication, positive attitude, and respect for diversity
