PACU RN Job Details

Location: Tucson, Arizona 85748
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (10/27/2025 – 1/26/2026)
Shift: 4x10 hour days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
On-Call: 10-12 days of call in a 6-week period
Floating: May be required to float to other units as needed
EMR: Cerner
Scrub Color: Any color
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1510 - $1620

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Ability to float to other nursing units as needed

PACU RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Apply the nursing process in compliance with the Arizona Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies
Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing nursing education and training
Delegate and supervise patient care tasks based on staff qualifications and experience
Demonstrate leadership and prioritize patient care effectively in a fast-paced PACU environment
