Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Lebanon, NH (Medical Specialties Unit 1C) – New Hampshire nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 21, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts (07:00-15:30); straight days available
• On-Call: Yes
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2560 - $2750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – eligible for New Hampshire
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Proficiency with chest tubes, tubes, and IV drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone)
• Experience caring for post-surgical patients with lines, tubes, and drains
• Competency in tracheostomy and laryngectomy care
• Telemetry monitoring skills
• Complex wound care experience
• Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population, including those with acute and chronic illnesses such as sepsis, infectious diseases, kidney disease, diabetes, GI issues, fluid/electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin/wound issues, and respiratory illnesses (COPD, flu, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis)
• Monitor and manage patients requiring specialized interventions, including chest tubes, IV drips, central lines, and tracheostomy/laryngectomy care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
• Participate in on-call rotation as required for travel nursing assignments
