Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Newnan, GA 30265 (Georgia healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 16-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 36 hours/week
• Unit: Medical Surgical (General Med/Surg & Peritoneal Dialysis)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Patient ratio: 1:6 (adults and geriatrics)
• Ability to work required holidays during assignment period
• Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation requirements
• Two supervisory references preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical surgical and peritoneal dialysis needs
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using Epic EMR
• Perform clinical procedures: continuous bladder irrigation, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, pre/post hemodialysis management
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
• Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare support teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Social Services)
• Float to other nursing units within scope of practice as required
• Participate in orientation and ongoing compliance modules
