Med/Surg LPN Job Details

• Location: Laurens, SC 29360 (South Carolina nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare job
• Unit: Complex Patient Unit (Medical Surgical)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,230 - $1,270

LPN Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with EPIC EMR
• At least 1 year of recent LPN experience in a Med/Surg or acute care setting
• Ability to float to other qualified units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg LPN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical environment
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document care using EPIC EMR
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Float to other units within the facility as required
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start
