Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21215
• Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 13, 2026)
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 07:00–19:00, Night: 19:30–07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250
• Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – 6 beds
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 (Days, Nights, Weekends)
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Self-scheduling available

PICU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at submission)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to float to NICU and Pediatric units as needed
• Experience with arterial line management and central venous pressure monitoring
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Professional references required

PICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as respiratory distress/failure, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), seizures, pain management, and sepsis
• Perform and manage special procedures including moderate sedation, medication drips, arterial lines, and central lines
• Utilize advanced pediatric equipment: ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, BIPAP, CPAP
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Float to NICU and Pediatric units as required for clinical support
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
