Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Clinton, Maryland (20735) – Washington, D.C. Metro Area
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (3 East MS/Tele)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 48 (4x12-hour shifts per week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590-$1710
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel RN experience required
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Two supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and manage genitourinary/renal care
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as required
• Provide wound care, manage tracheostomy and ventilated patients, and support patients with chronic conditions such as renal failure, diabetes, and sepsis
• Adhere to all infection control and hospital safety protocols
