• Location: Trenton, NJ 08638 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Emergency Department (ER Float Pool – float to all 4 campuses)
• Employment Type: Local Contract Nursing Job
• Start Date: January 20, 2026
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Shifts per Week: 3 (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Pay Rate: $83.70 per hour
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880 - $2020
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• EMR System: Cerner

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or Compact State (required at time of application)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required (no declinations or exceptions)
• Ability to float to all 4 hospital campuses as needed

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department across multiple Trenton campuses
• Float between Emergency Departments and ED Holds as assigned
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document nursing care and interventions using Cerner EMR
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment
