Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Jersey City, NJ 07302 (New Jersey nursing jobs)
• Facility: Level 2 Trauma Center – Operating Room
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025 – End: 3/30/2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2410 - $2580
• Call: 2x per schedule
• Scrubs Provided
• Charting System: EPIC
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care operating room (OR) experience
• Experience in both circulating and scrubbing required
• Robotic and ENT surgery experience required
• Experience with orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgeries required
• Ability to float within skillset as needed
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during contract
• Professional references required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures (excluding open heart)
• Deliver patient care in a Level 2 Trauma Center, supporting all operating room specialties
• Participate in scheduled call rotation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care and surgical procedures in EPIC
• Maintain a safe, sterile environment and comply with hospital protocols
• Float to other units within your clinical skillset as required
