Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated weekly salary: $1760 - $1890

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg hospital setting
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for each patient
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients in the Med/Surg unit
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from admission
• Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain a positive, collaborative work environment and contribute to team building
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
