• Location: Bay City, TX 77414 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit
• Start Date: December 6, 2025
• End Date: March 7, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 7 on/7 off, 36/48 rotating schedule
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880-$2020
• Open Positions: 1 L&D RN

L&D RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience and 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery specialty experience
• Current certifications (AHA required):
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • STABLE Certification
  • Intro to Fetal Monitoring (not via AWHONN)
• C-section experience required
• Ability to float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
• Experience with Meditech EMR and Centricity QS Fetal Monitoring preferred

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum mothers and newborns
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Meditech and Centricity QS systems
• Assist with C-sections and women's surgery recovery as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team: charge nurses, OB techs, and on-call physicians
• Maintain patient safety and follow hospital protocols and best practices
• Work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Support positive patient and family experiences in a rural hospital environment
