Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Aberdeen, SD 57401 (South Dakota healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (12/22/2025 – 3/23/2026)
• Setting: Acute Care, Operating Room (OR)
• Shifts: 12-hour days (typically 6:00am – 6:00pm; early starts as needed)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2180-$2340
• Call: Rotating call approximately every 4th weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 9am–1pm for outpatient infusions)
• Unit Details: 4 OR Suites, 1 Procedure Room, 8 PACU Bays, 18 Patient Center Rooms
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrubs: Ceil Blue (provided)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Dakota RN license or compact state nursing license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong organizational and clinical documentation skills
• Experience with Epic charting and Pyxis medication systems preferred

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist with a range of surgical cases: general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, and bariatrics
• Prepare for surgery cases using preference card systems
• Efficiently set up, clean, and turnover operating rooms
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment (arthroscopic pumps, shavers, cautery machines, laser, fracture table, c-arm x-ray)
• Float within the perioperative department as needed (pre-op, post-op, outpatient infusions, PACU)
• Participate in call rotation and work occasional weekends/holidays as scheduled
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Epic electronic health record system
• Engage in ongoing orientation and training to ensure competency with department-specific equipment and workflows
