ICU RN Travel Job Details
- Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/5/2026)
- Setting: Critical Care Float Pool (42-bed unit)
- Shift: 12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990–$2130
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- EMR: Epic
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active New York RN license (required for New York nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (required for ICU RN jobs)
- Experience with specialty equipment: IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM preferred
- Ability to float to various units (excluding Psych and ED, unless managing holds)
- Comfortable with Med-Surg assignments (up to 6-7 patients)
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU, CTICU, Trauma, and Med-Surg units
- Float between multiple critical care units as needed
- Manage diverse patient diagnoses: stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, post-surgical, trauma, neuro interventions
- Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and changing patient needs
