Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Hayward, Wisconsin 54843 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit (25 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: 12-hour evenings/nights (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Yes
• Dress Code: Charcoal/pewter gray scrubs (any style)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,780 - $1,910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin or compact state)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical surgical nursing experience
• Experience with adult post-surgical (Ortho), general medical (cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, urology) patients preferred
• First-time travel nurses are welcome!

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients in a 25-bed medical surgical unit
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4
• Administer and titrate IV drips (Heparin, insulin, fluids, electrolytes, diltiazem, antibiotics, dopamine, TPN)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, including House Supervisors and nurse aides
• Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in unit orientation and comply with facility policies and procedures
• Support respiratory therapy needs as required
